Our Mission
Our mission is to provide household maintenance, repairs, and essential safety services to adults 65+, individuals with disabilities, and our military veterans—ensuring they can live independently with dignity and peace of mind in a safe, functional home. As we grow, we are committed to expanding our support to include free household appliances, helping every home we serve remain fully functional and secure.
On The House, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in the Denver metro area, dedicated to helping those who have served our country, giving their all to our community, or simply need a helping hand. We provide household repairs and maintenance services completely free of charge to seniors (65+), military veterans, and individuals living with disabilities.

Our name says it all - Every service we offer is "On The House."
What We Do
We take care of the everyday tasks that are easy for most but nearly impossible for some - especially when safety is at stake.

Our free services include:

-
Replacing light bulbs and smoke detector batteries
-
Climbing ladders for hard-to-reach tasks
-
Heavy lifting and moving household items
-
Small household repairs (leaky sink, clogged garbage disposal, or broke fence, etc.)
-
Simple installations such as microwave ovens or other appliances
-
Safety checks and hazard prevention in and out of the home

As funding grows, our goal is to expand our work to include replacement of essential household items - like water heaters, refrigerators, and other critical appliances - for those unable to afford them.

We're not a construction company or a big-scale home builder - we fill the gap other services leave behind. While organizations like Habitat for Humanity focus on large-scale projects, On The House focuses on the little things that make a big difference in daily life.
How We Do It
Our work is powered by volunteers, donors, and community partners who believe in compassion in action. Skilled and caring volunteers provide hands-on help in homes throughout the Denver metro area, while generous donations keep our tools, supplies, and mission going strong.

All services are 100% free - no strings attached, no hidden fees, no red tape or long waits to qualify. We simply show up to help.
Why We Exist
Many seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities struggle to find help with simple tasks that are essential for safety and comfort. Traditional repair services can be expensive, and friends and family aren't always available. That's where we come in.

We're built on the belief that no task is too small if it makes someone's life easier, safer, or more dignified.
